Iowa Women’s Jazz Orchestra Sextet

The Iowa Women’s Jazz Orchestra, formed in 2017, is a jazz big band made up of women musicians from across the state, dedicated to showcasing and encouraging the participation of women and girls in jazz. The smaller IWJO Sextet made its debut performance at the 2020 Iowa City Jazz Festival and has been performing regularly since. Their upcoming performance at Noce will feature Jennifer Tiede (alto saxophone), Lynne Hart (tenor saxophone and clarinet), Toni LeFebvre (trumpet), Tobi Crawford (piano), Vivian Shanley (bass), and Farren Johnson (drums). They will be performing a mixture of standard and original arrangements all ears are sure to enjoy. For more information, please visit www.iowajazzwomen.com.
