With a career spanning over 30 years, Matt has performed on some of the world’s most prestigious stages, collaborated with various musicians, and produced award-winning recordings. As a mentor, Matt has inspired a new generation of cellists at the Schulich School of Music of McGill University and is now the first-ever John Cage Fellow at The New School’s Mannes School of Music. He brings fresh perspectives to classic repertoire and creates innovative projects, such as THE PRIMAVERA PROJECT, which features 81 new commissions from various North American communities.
